Welcome to our preschool classroom!
This is where I spend my days teaching three to five year olds with my wonderful partner in teaching, Danica.
Let me give you a photo tour!
In the photo above, you can see red tables where we place the students' labelled folders for their artwork to take home, as well as any notices.
After about a month or so, most of the students have learned to find their own names.
We change the folder locations daily to be sure the kids are actually "reading" the names and not just finding them by their location on the table!
In the picture above, you can also see our circle time area in the back of the photo under the blue bulletin board.
In the photo below, you can see our reading area on the left with the green couch and reading tent.

There's only two friends allowed in this tent and they must have a book.
(As you can probably imagine, regular reminders are needed to maintain this rule! :))
On the bottom left of this photo, you can see our two art tables (one barely showing).
We put out two art activities daily which the children can choose to do if they wish.

Our room also holds three other tables for center activities.
These activities relate to whichever theme we are featuring for the month.

Below is a photo of our "teacher's desk."
This counter and cupboard area serves as our prep station.
I can admit, it gets to be quite a mess by the end of the day!
(I think I'm mainly responsible for that!)

The fridge and stove come in handy for making snacks on special event days, cooking up playdough, etc.
We are lucky to have a bright classroom with some great features like this kitchen area, lots of windows, and some great storage.
Unfortunately, the"bigness" of it does lead to some running around on the part of the little ones, but it's a small price to pay for all the space!
Thanks for taking the tour of our classroom!
